My childhood was one of closeness to my Cherokee family and community. I was a warrior at seven. Our Chiefs and Grandfathers taught us the power of a warrior was swift and silent. We were taught that when we observe and understand the enemy enough to defeat them that it is that moment we have come to care for him and love him. So never was our action one of anger and to create suffering, it was with compassion we resolved them without pain or suffering; a knowing. ~ pa’ris’ha
